The Last Day!

Today was the last official day of classes for Forney ISD. What a year. It was bittersweet leaving today. My girls were sad. Tears were shed by Alex. She is such a strong young lady. It was an emotional day for me also. A fellow pre-k teacher passed away last night. She had cancer and it had spread throughout her body more rapidly than previously thought. As of two weeks ago she was working. She has inspired me in more ways than I could express. The other pre-k teachers and I went to see her Monday evening and said our goodbyes. It made me realize how precious and short life can be. She was a believer and said if it was God's time, then she was ready. Even at the end, she was strong. Thank God for faith, it is something that is easily taken advantage of. But through that faith, I can be at peace that she is in a better place.
