Yesterday Best Buy called and said my camera could not be fixed and that I could come in and pick another one out. So last night after dropping the girls off for Awana's or as Kirstin says Hawana's, we headed to town. This morning I am playing with my new camera, trying to become familiar with it and thought I would walk around and take some pictures of things that make me happy. So as I share these pictures this morning, I'm so excited. I didn't realize how much I used my camera until I didn't have it. I am a picture junkie, it drives Alex crazy. But I explained to her that years down the road we might not remember a day in our life, but with the pictures, we can be taken back to times we may have forgotten. I think she was beginning to understand. One of the plans we have when my sister is here is to go to storage and pull out all my old photo albums and go through them. She loves pictures and memories as much as I do. I'm sure we will have many laughs. We were rather dorky at times in our life.
I love my pets even though they tend to annoy me on a daily basis. Willy G. is our tomcat, then there is Jackson our Border Collie and finally Riley the famous safety pin dog.

A very fine picture of my very fine voter registration card. I did my duty as an American yesterday and I voted. I have not voted since 1992 but feel that this year it is necessary.

Yippee Yippe Yi yippee yo yo yo, in four days my sister will be here!

Here is a picture of our living room. Is that not the funniest. I get a kick out of our "furniture". We did go shopping yesterday, but Richard adn I could not come to a unanimous decision on what to get so we decided to still wait. We will find the perfect set.

Carving pumpkins is a favorite in our house. Richard and Alex carved one and Kirstin, Kali and I carved the other. We then cleaned and baked the pumpkin seeds. YUM.

We have all our "household decor" packed away, so to keep it looking homey here, we display the girls school work. I love seeing them learn and bringing home papers.

My Sonic Diet Cokes ALWAYS make a morning better. I LOVE SONIC!

YAY! I am glad you got a new camera. I wish mine had had a warranty...I hate not having a camera! Mine eats batteries and then dies during the picture! Glad you are back to taking pictures. I know you will take pictures of the girls in their costumes.....I hope you post them! Amanda
There's no way you love Sonic as much as I do, but whatever!
I DIG your living room. I remember some friends in college had the back seat to their mom's minivan sitting in their living room as a couch. Completely cool!
mom i love you but some times your just a dork! gotta say it right out to ya sista!!! well bye bye now
I am so happy for you. How nice that you were able to get a new camera. I'm loving the last picture.
We voted today also. We have to vote by mail so it has been delivered to the post office. Obama all the way:)
Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday and I'll be there. Can't wait. Although it hit me tonight that I have to say good-bye to Larah for a whole week. The other kids...I can handle saying good-bye to, but Larah will be hard.
See ya soon.
For those of you reading this...I was joking about...Obama all the way. I am not truly crazy!
