The Burrow Family: Simple Woman's Daybook!

FOR TODAY April 5Th, 2009

Outside my window...it is getting dark, there is a cold front rolling in and the winds are blowing.

I am thinking...I really have a bad headache and I need to go to bed. I've had the headache all day though so I napped and I know I won't be able to sleep. So instead, I will play on the computer!

I am thankful for...Alex's friend Klaire. I sat in church today watching them and am so thankful that Alex has a Christian girl from a Christian family to grow up with. I am also thankful for my life. I feel very fulfilled right now and that is something that I cherish!

From the kitchen...We just finished having a bowl of Blue Bell ice cream and loaded the dishes in the dishwasher. Kirstin, Kali and I had Strawberry and Richard and Alex enjoyed Cookies and Cream.

I am wearing...My D-Now Tee shirt from the weekend and a pair of shorts.

I am creating...I always have such a hard time on this one. So thinking outside the box, I am creating a happy home for my family.

I am going...to take a practice exam for grades 4-8 on Tuesday to become certified to teach that also. I am currently certified EC-4 and want to broaden my horizons.

I am reading...I just got the book "Eyes of a Child" from my mom, but I haven't started it yet. I might do that after my blog since I won't be ready to fall asleep yet.

I am hoping...to get a job soon for next year. I am nervous about going back to work but am ready to do it.

I am hearing...The Academy of Country Music Awards are on TV, Richard and Ben are texting back and forth so his phone keeps going off, and all else is quiet. The girls are laying in my room just about to call it a night.

Around the house...we had the sixth and seventh youth group girls here all weekend and would you believe not one thing was left and my house is as clean as it was before they came. Can't say that too often.

One of my favorite things...my jacuzzi bath tub. I LOVE it! I love filing it up with bubbles and lighting my candles and just laying there until the water gets cold, or I am so hot, I have to get out.

A few plans for the rest of the week...tomorrow I have to go to Tyler to turn in some more paperwork on the house and maybe make a Sam's run, Tuesday is my test, Kali has horseback riding and softball practice, Kirstin and Alex have tumbling and all three of the girls have dentist appointments.

Here is a picture I thought about sharing...This is a crazy picture of me, I know. This was taken awhile ago when we went to dinner one night with friends. I love the picture, not because I am conceited and like myself, but because looking at it reminds me of the fun I can have with my friends and I love at 35 I can still act ridiculously silly!
