Blessings in a Box

The joy of moving for me is always unpacking. Many people hate the chore of unpacking, but this move it has been especially fun. Many things have been in storage for years, since we found out Richard was accepted into school and we sold our first Forney house we packed the "special" items and put them away in storage. Today while it was quiet and the girls were playing I found two old boxes of photo albums and framed pictures that I haven't seen in years. I sat and was completely sidetracked for quite awhile going through all the old pictures. As I sat there flipping pages it was like God was just screaming at me how much he truely loves me. I have had such a special life with Richard and many times that is so undeserving because I have not always been the best wife. The box I found today started with our wedding pictures and then on to baby shower pics, family vacations, weekends to Dallas, everyday life, building our first house, re-doing our other houses, and etc....I sat there and looked around this house and just felt overwhelmed with love and compassion. How did I get so lucky? What a blessing. As I flipped through the pages I found that almost all the people in the pictures were still very involved in our lives. These people have been through thick and thin with us and I am so thankful for family and friends. As I sit here now, the girls are outside playing. Alex's sleepover birthday party is tonight. She is PUMPED. We have set up the Wii, the ping pong table, sing star, and movies galore. There are twelve girls coming. We are as ready as we can be for just moving in on Tuesday. I have been stressing about it, but realized it's not worth it to stress and I just need to be thankful that we are here and have a house to have the girls over. Richard is at his Fantasy Football Super Bowl Party. He will be home later this evening. Bless his heart, his house is taken over by females. POOR GUY....

I hope Alex has a great party. I can only imagine all the giggling that will be going on. I will hear the rumblings all the way up here. Just please, make sure the explosive laughter doesn't cause any more landslides.

I wish I could be there to go through boxes with you. But then again, you probably enjoyed your time alone....alone with God. I am so glad you are finally in your new home. I am so excited for you, Richard and the girls. You are truly blessed. I love you!
