Outside my window...it is cold with the temperature dropping and foggy, very foggy.
I am thinking...about what to do about the Houston Livestock Show. We were not going to enter UB this year, but the leader of the FFA just called and really wants us to enter him. We had decided to just do a local show first, but now are pondering how to handle this. He seems to think we have an award winning pig. I'm all about the scholorship money that comes with winning? And what an experience for Alex, we will talk tonight and decide.
I am thankful for...God. Without my faith, I think life would be more difficult and stressful. I find great peace in the fact that I can rely on God when I have these silly inner struggles.
From the kitchen...is a meatloaf waiting to cook and potatoes in a pot just waiting to steam. Dinner tonight will be after basketball practice.
I am wearing...my favorite pair of jeans, a pink sweater and some really cute flat Mary Janes that I got at Walmart. I get more compliments on these shoes than any other pair I wear.
I am creating...hummmm....kinda blank on this one today.
I am going...to Kirstin's class tomorrow to volunteer. I haven't started back since the holidays and am ready to get back in the classroom. I love working with the kids.
I am reading...nothing. I can't seem to find the box of books I have been saving until we moved in.
I am hoping...that the economy heats up. My dad, both brothers and a very good friend of ours is currently out of work. It is sad when it hits so close to home.
I am hearing...Ina Garten on the tv telling me how to cook, Kirstin and Kali are playing in the living room, the heater is humming and the stucco man is working some more on the front porch.
Around the house...there are still many boxes, but I am getting more unpacked and organized each day.
One of my favorite things...is having Willy my cat lay on me and purr. Oh the life of a fat cat.
A few plans for the rest of the week: volunteer, unpack, work around here decorating some more, take Alex to spend her birthday money, Super bowl party on Sunday and normal things like church, gymnastics, and tumbling. I might even work in the gym a few times.
Here is picture thought I am sharing: These are my Longview friends. Jessica, Andrea, Barbara and me. This was taken a few months ago when we went out to celebrate Barbara's birthday.
