Chris Tomlin's version of Amazing Grace is playing on my radio behind me. I absolutely love this version. So calming and relaxing. The girls are in playing with their new bears from yesterday. I love the fact that Alex is almost 12 and will still play "BABY" with her sisters. Richard has gone to work. The sun is shining through my window, actually the sun is beating through my window, it is hot in my room. I need to hang something up to block out some of the heat. It is a quiet morning in Bullard. I didn't actually get out of the bed until 9:30. I woke up and turned on the TV to watch a little news and ended up turning on and finishing a movie. I rarely do that. It was nice. In about a week and a half the girls start back to school. WOW, the summer has flown by. We are done with school shopping except Alex needs some shoes.
My friend Cari left me a comment the other day about blogging about Richard. I never have. He is so private, I didn't want to write something to make him feel uncomfortable about people reading. But today, I think I will. Not write something that will make him uncomfortable of course, but write some of the blessings about him.
First of all, thanks to Cari for bringing that to my attention. I don't want to portray that my girls are before Richard. I passionately believe that a husband should be before children and in our family that is how it is or at least how I want it to be. For those of you that don't know, Cari is my sisters sister in law. Back in college, we were all roommates. So I have known Cari for years, but have just recently been back in contact. It's funny how I have been praying for friends the past ones are the ones that I am finding again. How awesome is that?
Now on to Richard. We met when I was 20 at ETBU. Love at first sight you ask? Pretty much for me. I saw him one day in the cafeteria for the first time. I had been there for almost a year and never seen him before, but when I did, history was wrote. We dated for a year and a half before he proposed on October 30 1994. The following May we were married in Jefferson Texas. Richard is such a strong man. He has always gone for what he wanted and achieves success at what he does. He is passionate with his work. After college he started as a retail manager and worked in retail for a few years and then moved onto Neiman Marcus. He one day decided to change careers and go to nursing school. He worked two jobs to go through school. A few years later after practicing nursing for awhile he again wanted to further his career. He took the steps necessary to follow his dream. He has been in school many of our married years, but through those years, he never left sight of the fact that he was a husband and a father before a student. He strived to make all three areas work, and he succeeded. He is such an example for our daughters. Hard work and committment will pay off. He is so happy now and takes such care of his "girls" all of us. He's awesome.
Now understand, I could write on and on about Richard but he really wouldn't appreciate me sharing it all. So I will leave it with the basics. Richard is my husband and I love him more each day. I'm proud to be a Burrow!

I don't know how I missed this post...I love it. I love love. I'm a goofball. I can't wait to see you. Luke plays baseball in Tyler Saturday. If you're bored you should go see him in action. The girls will be there, but I'll be here at Landen's game. Anyhoo, just a thought.
