Meet the teacher night again!

Last night was meet the teacher night for Kirstin and Kali. Every year, we pray that the girls will get the best teacher for their particular personality. We chose again not to have them in the same class. In kindergarten we requested that they stay together. Last year was the first year they were seperated and that is when we really saw their each personality develop both socially and academically. It is, however, at times difficult to have them in seperate classes. Parties are difficult, we have to split the time in each classroom. They never get us both for the whole party, and many times Richard is working so I end up spliting the time between the girls. Also it is so hard for a seven year old identical twin to understand why one sister gets invited to a birthday party and the other can't go. Especially when they do everything in life together. But that is going to happen when they are in seperate classes and have seperate friends. I did talk with their teachers last night, and the two classes do recess, lunch, and PE together, so they will get to see each other throughout the day. I was so impressed with each teacher. As last year, Kirstin has an older lady who has been teaching for 25 years and LOVES children. Her passion is kids. She was so warm and gentle and laid back. Again, as last year, Kali has a teacher who is young, as cute as a bug and chipper. It is amazing how God answered the prayer.
As I type this it reminds me of the closeness of Kirstin and Kali. They are very seldom apart. They do almost everything together. Well yesterday Kirstin wanted to go to the library. Kali had a headache and just wanted to lay down so I took Kirstin. She looked around picked out her books and then said, "mom, I want to get a book for Kali." It was so thoughtful and just describes their whole relationship.

Your blog looks awesome! Just wanted to say that I hope the girls all have a great first day back at school. I hope its a smooth transition for them and Mom :-) I am thinking maybe sometime in September we will be heading to Tyler to check out Babies-r-us. We will have to work it out with Richard's schedule so we can hang out that day. Love,
Mandi
