Our Last Monday

It is officially our last Monday of summer vacation. I am ready for the routine of the school year, but will miss the freedom of having the girls home and just playing and doing what we want. I can't believe the summer is over. It has flown by. Today is another rainy day in East Texas. I am nervous as we still have not been able to have the slab poured and we have rain in the forecast for the next SEVEN days. Now I understand we need the rain here in Texas, but some days it feels like the walls of this duplex are closing in and getting smaller. Once the slab is poured the progress should start moving along much quicker, however, I am feeling impatient, and that is not something that I usually feel. I am a pretty patient person for the most part.

The girls and I are still in our pajama's. I did manage to put on a pair of shorts and add a bra to the equation so I could take the dogs out and also get the mail. It is 12:52 in the afternoon and none of us has bothered to get dressed. Don't get me wrong, I have been cleaning and doing laundry, so I am being productive, just haven't got dressed. The girls have played all morning. They even put on a dance show/concert for me. It was too cute. Too Funny!

We brought Jackson home last night. He is a Border Collie. I think we must be crazy having 2 dogs and a cat here, but hopefully it will work out. I can't post a picture of Jackson because I left my camera sitting on the counter at Ben and Andrea's house. When I get it back I will post a picture of Jackson and also of the girls birthday party. We had a great time and the weather was just perfect. The high was in the low 80's. AMAZING for Texas weather in August.

Well, I am going to continue cleaning and organizing. And take care of the animal kingdom. As a matter of fact I hear Riley digging in the trash as I type.
