God Answers Prayers
Now I know that this is not new to us. God always answers prayers whether it is the answer we want or not. Sometimes I don't realize that God is answering my prayers or that I get the answer that I necessarily want, but I do have faith that God does answer my prayers. Last night I was tucking Alex in bed. I'm not sure why and I had not prayed this before but I asked God to bring her a good Christian friend to hang out with. I didn't have anyone in mind, I just wanted her to feel warm and welcome and have some fun. So fast forward to today after school. She gets in the car after school. Her face with such a big smile. She says " MOM, Abby wants me to spend the night tonight". My first thought was no way, absolutley not, I'm so not comfortable with my girls spending the night at peoples house that I don't know. I didn't want to burst her bubble so I simply said, "Alex, whose Abby". Alex looks at me as if I'm silly and says, "you know mom, Abby goes to church with us, her mom is the one who leads Awana's. You know her mom." Ah......the lightbulb went on. I do know them. Fast forward a few more hours, Alex is happily at Abby's house and just called to check in. She was so excited and having fun. As I was driving home, I realized that God had answered my prayers. Alex had a good Christian friend to hang out with. It is so amazing to me how God reveals his love on a daily basis to us. I love the fact that I have my relationship with God!
