Well I haven't blogged for a few days and am feeling the need to, but don't have anything pressing on my heart to blog about, so your stuck with reading about my day. It's 7:08 PM. Richard is watching
TV, just flipping through the channels. Kali and Kirstin are in the shower together trying to prove to us that they can do it without fighting and screaming at each other. They have not been allowed to shower together lately because they can't seem to get along while in there. Quite the interesting place to have
WWIII. So far so good, I can only hear them chattering away. No flying bars of soap or naked bodies running in to tattle yet. Alex is in her room trying to figure out what to wear for school pictures tomorrow. This will be a process. A long process. She has been in there for at least 20 minutes thus far. This morning I went to volunteer in
Kirstin's class again. I am recording each student read for the year and at the end they are able to take the tape home and share with their families. It is so fun to listen to them read. After that, I went out to the land and Richard and I were on cleanup duty again. We loaded another trailer load of scrap wood and junk ready to burn. We also swept the house out again and did some organizing of materials. We came home and I showered and then laid down to take a short rest. It turned into a two hour nap. I am fighting a cold and I had taken some medicine and it just knocked me out I guess. The landlord came to visit us later, she needed to check on some things with us. To end the evening Richard and I went back to the house to test some paint samples on the outside trim. We've had the color in mind all along, but today I decided to change my mind. I am now leaning towards a calming, peaceful
sage green color for the trim. We did some samples and are going to go back tomorrow and check them out in the sun to see how they look. Well Kirstin and Kali have successfully showered and got around for bed without arguing. Alex is STILL looking for something to wear. She is now digging in my closet. It is amazing to me that she is beginning to borrow my clothes. I'm not sure how I feel about that. She is growing into quite the young lady. She has started band at school and finally
received her clarinet. She is also taking tumbling to get her ready to try out for cheer leading next year. Boo
hoo hoo. Next year it is hard for me to
believe that she will be in Junior High.....What am I going to do? Better yet, what is Richard going to do? I'm not sure quite yet what is on the agenda for tomorrow. The girls will go to
AWANA's tomorrow evening. I need to keep on studying. I am registered to officially take my content test on October 15
Th. I have to pass this one. I really felt nervous just registering for it. I'm silly, I know, I just really want to do good and pass the first time I take it. Not to mention the fact that it is $120
every time you take it.
OK funny one here, for those of you that don't know, I dressed Kirstin and Kali the same for years. Until they started first grade they wore the EXACT same thing. This year they refuse to dress the same. Well the just came running out in matching outfits because they want to tease their friends at school. They look the same. They are so darn cute it just makes me laugh....You literally can't tell them apart when they are dressed the same. The years of fun they have ahead of them by doing this.....they keep saying "Daddy, guess which one is Kirstin". Of course we know, but we love letting them think that they can trick even us.....Well I guess for not having much to blog about, I rambled on. I love just releasing my thoughts on here.....PS. Alex is STILL looking for something to wear. Pray for her, wait, pray for us....ha ha ah

I sure hope your darling daughter found something cute to wear. And I hope they have fun at AWANA's tomorrow night. I loved AWANA's when I was a kid. Did you know when I was 9 I became a Christian through the Northside Baptist Church AWANA's program? Yep, yep, yep!!!
