Simple Woman's Daybook!

FOR TODAY February 2nd, 2009

Outside my window...are very blue skies but a crisp chill in the air. The ground is wet and we had an awesome Texas thunderstorm last night. Maybe, just maybe, this will help our grass grow.

I am I am thinking...that I ate too man jalapeno's last night as my stomach is tore up this morning.

I am thankful for...dryer sheets and fabric softner. As I sit here my dryer is running and I love the smell of fresh clothes.

From the kitchen...My kitchen is clean for the most part. My floors need mopped and a few things put away, but for having a Super Bowl party yesterday, it is surprisingly clean this AM. I had so much caffiene that I was wired last night so I stayed up and cleaned after everyone left.

I am wearing...yoga pants, sweatshirt and my socks and tennis shoes.

I am creating...little mini me's with my sarcastic tones. I tend to be mouthy and vocal at times and my three daughters have my bad habits. I am working on speaking more positively and less sarcastically. Ok, I'm trying at least.

I am going...to San Francisco and Napa Valley at the end of the month. My sweet husband surprised me with a trip away for just the two of us. He is so awesome. We are going to tour the city and then go to Wine Country. I am very excited for a get away just for us. It has been some time.

I am reading...the Bible more. I have decided to open the word and am finding it very enjoyable.

I am hoping...that Alex and her group of girlfriends does well in the talent show tonight but more than that, I am hoping that she has a fun and memorable time. I love her confidence at such a young age.

I am hearing...Chris Tomlin singing "Everlasting God" play on my playlist. I just love praise music and usually have it playing in the background.

Around the house...it is quiet this morning. The girls are at school and Richard is working. As I look around, I am in love with my surroundings.

One of my favorite things...is traveling with Richard. We made a commitment to always make time for us important and I can't wait for our trip in a few weeks. Many times life and schedules take over and we don't get enough time, but this trip is coming at a time that I needed to get away and just be his wife.

A few plans for the rest of the week....Find where I have put my cord for my camera so I can download my pictures from the weekend, find a dentist for the girls and make some appointments, work on my resume, volunteer at the school, Alex's talent show tonight, cheer meeting tomorrow night, gymnastics and tumbling, family pictures on Saturday, along with a basketball game, level tryouts at gymnastics and a baby shower on Sunday. This week is one of those times it is a blessing not having to work outside the home. There are many things going on and it would be busy if I had to juggle a job also.

Here is picture thought I am sharing...this picture was taken a few years ago in Pensacolal Beach Florida. This was our last night at our week long beach adventure (we all stayed in one house) but this was the most memorable night. We had quite the Luau Party and fun.
