FOR TODAY February 16th 2009 (Andrea's Birthday, she is 30 today!)
Outside my window...it is gray this morning. The air has a chill to it and the sky is mellow. I think we have a chance of rain, by the looks of it, I'm thinking we do.
I am thinking...how God answers prayers. He's pretty incredible. After reading Amanda's blog last week (my sis in law) I too was inspired to pray for a special friend. God brought back an old one. I am meeting my college roommate for lunch today and am SO excited to catch up and see her again. I found her after many years of looking and she lives about 30 minutes down the road.
I am thankful for...again answered prayers. A few blogs ago, one of the things I missed was lunches with girlfriends. And today, I get lunch with a girlfriend.
From the kitchen...all is quiet. Breakfast dishes are cleaned up, Richard's breakfast sandwich sits on the counter waiting for him. He was called in last night, so he is still sleeping.
I am wearing...my usual blog attire, yoga pants and a sweatshirt.
I am creating...love handles. And I really need to lose them or none of my summer clothes will fit.
I am going...to lunch at On the Border today with Polly. YIPPEE! (Guaranteed, not to help the love handle situation)
I am reading...nothing.
I am hoping...that next week Richard will be able to go to the Fireproofing Marriage class with me at Church. He was called in as we were leaving for it and I did feel silly being at a marriage class by myself.
I am hearing...my play list playing and the hum of the house, and the trash truck outside
Around the house...it is clean and quiet. I spend yesterday afternoon doing laundry and cleaning and working around here.
One of my favorite things...is playing soccer with Jackson my border collie. He LOVES his ball and for some strange reason, I always wear out before he does...
A few plans for the rest of the week...hopefully I will be called to sub, and then just the normal day to day things.
Here is picture thought I am sharing...Kali, Olivia, and Kirstin taken this weekend. Olivia is a family friend who lives in New Diana. When these three get together, they play and play and play. I hope they continue to grow up together!
