Simple Woman's Daybook!

FOR TODAY February 9th 2009

Outside my window...it is very dark and dreary. It has been raining steady all day. I love days like this.

I am thinking...about our new president. He is on the TV right now.

I am thankful for...the internet. I have found so many people from my past the past few days and am LOVING IT. I found both my college roommates and it is so fun catching up.

From the kitchen...it is dark and quiet. We had a wonderful dinner of Crock Pot Chicken Marsala over pasta. My friend Cari put the recipe on her post. It was awesome. Dinner is now over, the kitchen clean and I sit here with a full belly writing my blog.

I am wearing...sweats and a sweatshirt.

I am creating...uh.....not much.

I am going...to Andreas birthday dinner on Saturday. She is turning the big 30.

I am reading...ok I'm loving my house to much right now to read. I just wonder around and find things to do. I will start reading soon. Maybe.....

I am hoping...that I hear from the school district soon. I turned in my paperwork and application to sub last week also talked to them about a permanent position.

I am hearing...Barack Obama on the tv, Kirstin and Alex discussing life and Richard playing on his new phone. Kali is showering.

Around the house...it is getting more "homey" every day. We had our blinds installed on Friday, the yard is beginning to show signs of life with some grass sprouting up and it is just "home"

One of my favorite things...times with girlfriends. Today I met my Forney girlfriends Tammi and Heather, for breakfast in Terrell. We had a great time visiting and catching up. I miss them.

A few plans for the rest of the week...It's a pretty quiet week here. Just tumbling, gymnastics and Awana's. I am doing my volunteer stuff at school in the morning.

Here is picture thought I am sharing .

This was taken Saturday night at Shoguns in Longview. We went out for a friends birthday and had fun as ususal. I feel really lucky to have a sister in law and a girlfriend in law that are so close and we all get along so well.
