Thursday Thirteen!

Thursday Thirteen is a just a little something fun to add to a blog. I haven't done it in awhile but thought this morning, I would make a list and add it to my blog. You can read more Thursday Thirteen lists at the following link: http://www.thursdaythirteen.com/ .

Thirteen things I miss or am missing:

1. I am missing my ipod. I think I left it on the treadmill at the gym.

2. I miss my high school and early married years best friend Nicole. She was so instrumental in my life but there is now distance between us.

3. I miss my girls while they are at school. My three daughters really are amazing. We always ask each other each day what the favorite part of the day was. When they ask me, I always tell them, "picking you up". They brighten my day as soon as they get in the car.

4. Girlfriend getaways. I went to Mexico once with "the girls" and had a blast. There is something amazing about hoping on a plane with girlfriends and making memories. Anyone up for an adventure?

5. My dog Mazzie. She was such a treat. I'm learning to love Jackson, but Mazzie is just irreplacable.

6. I miss having a computer desk. The laptop sits on the kitchen table, the "desktop" computer sits on my bedroom floor and bills and all my files that need to be organized and gone through are in a big basket.

7. I miss being a kid and going to family reunions. We had some great ones growing up and it was always so fun to see the distant cousins and friends that I didn't get to see often. Thanks to modern technology though, I do get to talk online.

8. I am missing my sister. That however is a constant in life. She lives thousands of miles away from me and we don't get to see each other as much as I wish.

9. I miss working. That's a surprise I know, but there is a pleasantry to working with adults. Sometimes I miss adult connections throughout the day. It can get quiet at home.

10. I miss having naturally curly hair. Something has happened as I have grown and my hair is now just naturally frizzy.

11. I miss the beach. I just love the beach. The best part of living in Florida those 14 months is that I could drive just a few miles and be on the most beautiful beaches in the world.

12. I miss my grandparents. In the past years, I have lost all my grandparents. It is refreshing to know that they are waiting for me in heaven though!

13. I am missing traveling with just Richard. This mini vacation can't come quick enough. Have you gathered I love to travel. It is probably my passion.

Ok, there is my list. It sounds as if I'm feeling really sad and depressed, however, I am not. I am so happy with life right now. I hope this list finds each of you who reads it having a wonderful day! And know that I miss each of you also!

#12 really hits home lately. I had a dream about Gramma Jenny the other night and for the rest of the night I thought about Gramma and Grampa and Gramma and Papa. I remembered so many things about our childhood and how it involved them. You remember how Gramma M. walked her steps everyday and moved her spoons as she completed a round? Or how on holidays at Gramma D's there was the adult table and the kids table? Or how Gramma Jenny had carpet in her kitchen and we never seemed to spill anything on it? Remember Christmas Eve's at Gramma and Papa's and the reindeer? My thoughts and memories went on and on. I too like you miss them...but I am so thankful for the wonderful memories.

And of course #8 hits home also. Hey, have I ever told you that my sister has the best sister in the world?

Have a great day!!!
